Bonfire & Fireworks Saturday
The annual bonfire & fireworks will be on Saturday 2nd November on Ivinghoe Lawn with gates opening at 18:00. The bonfire will be lit at 18:45 followed at 19:15 by a spectacular fireworks display to music managed by our team of trained pyro-technicians.
As is traditional at our Fireworks night there will be a BBQ including hot & cold drinks, and a fairground ride to entertain the children.
Naturally we hope that the weather will be kind to ensure that the event will be a great success!
Please note that it is a condition of our insurance that no personal fireworks (including sparklers, etc.) are brought onto Ivinghoe Lawn.
Tickets will be available in advance, at a discount, from Masons (Pitstone), Post Office (Ivinghoe), Grooms (Ivinghoe) and The Rose & Crown (Ivinghoe) £9 Family, £4 Adult from mid-October. Tickets will be available on the night at £10 Family, £5 Adult.
You are welcome to bring your combustible waste for the bonfire on the Saturday morning from 09:00 until approx 12:00. However, there are certain materials that we are unable to accept (e.g. tyres, foam, etc.) and these will need to be taken to the local recycling depot. Marshals will be available to assist with unloading from 09:00.
Summer Festival 2013 Review
Both the Summer Ball & Laughter-on-the-Lawn were a great success and we received substantial feedback via our on-line survey. While the feedback was in the main positive, a number of areas for improvement were identified for 2014. These include: Catering, Band/Sound Quality for the Summer Ball, Photographic backdrop for the Summer Ball, Tables for the Laughter-on-the-Lawn, and more robust audience control.
Summer Festival 2014
Planning for the Summer Festival 2014 is already underway! The events are scheduled for Friday 20th and Saturday 21st June. The exact format has yet to be agreed and will be published in the next update. If you would like to contribute ideas for either the Summer Ball or Laughter-on-the-Lawn please email: email@example.com or speak to a member of the Committee.
Ivinghoe Christmas Tree
We are in the process of negotiation to erect a sapling Christmas Tree on the area opposite the Kings Head, Ivinghoe so that we can do our little bit to improve the environment and sustainability. We hope to have the Christmas Tree in-situ by the end of November and illuminated from early December for the Festive Season.
